1. Product Introduction
PE is one of the most commonly used and commercially produced synthetic thermoplastic, which is known for its excellent electrical insulation properties and heat resistance. When comes to cable casing application, PE casing is normally used along with PVC casing. The outer casing of the electrical cable is usually made by PVC because of its good environmental stability when compared to PE. On the other hand, PE is used to make the inner casing of the electrical cable due to its superior electrical insulation, and more importantly the heat resistance as it prevents the cable from burning when its overloading.
Various additives and fillers are combined together with PE to make the cable PE, where Yongjie’s twin screw extruders will come into play. With our experienced production team, our twin screw extruder can guarantee smooth production of the crosslinked and cable PE granules. Three pelletizing methods can be applied to manufacturing the cable PE granules according to the material formulations: water strand pelletizing; air cooling hot-face pelletizing and water ring hot-face pelletizing.

During production, we can send you a ‘4-box report’ every two weeks to update you how the production is running. Photos and videos are always available upon request.
B. What is your typical lead time?
Lead time to produce a full extruder production line varies depending on the size of the extruder. Typical lead time would be in the range from 15 days to 90 days.
